We regularly work with in-house legal and marketing teams to assist with legal, risk management and compliance activities, especially in relation to digital marketing, advertising and influencer marketing.
This often includes:
- providing advice on specific laws, regulations and advertising codes;
- providing advice on digital platform terms and conditions;
- drafting and negotiating various commercial agreements;
- creating policy and procedures for adoption in the business;
- consulting on legal and compliance matters when creating or refining strategy; and

Each of these activities are intended to enable business to move forward at speed, with risks appropriately managed to reflect the relevant risk appetite.
We do law differently
For fixed term or ongoing consulting services, we can provide our clients with an outsourced in-house model which fits seamlessly into their existing in-house team and enables that team to access and utilise our niche expertise.
For one-off pieces of advice or drafting services, we usually operate on a fixed fee model.

Wondering who we are?
Our Founder, Tegan Boorman, is a senior lawyer with NEARLY 2 DECADES experience IN LAW, COMPLIANCE AND RISK MANAGEMENT
She saw a niche market in creating commercial legal agreements for influencer marketing campaigns and collaborations, as well as terms and conditions for online businesses and digital courses. Social Law Co. was initially established to service that niche market.
Since launching Social Law Co., Tegan has become a trusted voice and advocate in the influencer marketing industry, often appearing in trade press and mainstream media discussing legal and compliance issues in connection with influencer marketing. She also leads the Australian Influencer Marketing Council Industry Advisory Committee and is a Non-executive Director and Deputy Chair of the board of Audited Media Association of Australia Limited.
During the course of her career, Tegan has acted for clients of various sizes, from small start ups through to companies listed on the ASX. She has also worked in-house for one of the "Big 4" management consulting firms.
Tegan now consults to brands, agencies and creators on legal, compliance and risk management issues in connection with effective and compliant digital advertising and e-commerce.
