Social Law Co. founder, Tegan Boorman, has been elected as the Chair of the Guiding Council of the Australian Influencer Marketing Council (AiMCO) for 2023 / 2024.
AiMCO is an industry body which is driven by experts in the influencer marketing field, committed to ensuring this innovative advertising channel continues to build marketer trust and confidence through best practice, transparency and industry education. AiMCO represents the industry’s advocates, thought leaders, and experts.
AiMCO’s Guiding Council represents AiMCO member companies from across the influencer marketing industry, with 18 members that guide the overall direction and activities of AiMCO for the year ahead.
Tegan was first elected as a member of the Guiding Council in November 2021 and was soon thereafter elected as a deputy chair of the Guiding Council in April 2022.
A Guiding Council election took place again in April of 2023 when Tegan was then elected as the Chair.
In relation to the appointment, Tegan said:
"With increased regulatory focus on the influencer marketing industry, it is a pivotal time for industry participants to have a working knowledge of the key issues, including influencer advertising disclosure, tax considerations, and an awareness of the specific goods and services subject to additional regulatory frameworks, such as therapeutic goods, regulated health services and financial products and services. I’m honoured to be elected the next Chair of AiMCO for 2023 / 2024 and excited to continue the initiatives which support the industry through its enormous growth.”
